Introducing the Open Thread, the Place Where We Talk About Whatever

Every Friday will offer you, the reader, the opportunity to sound off about a chosen topic (or whatever you want)

The Pickup’s Billboard north of 6th and Utica

Welcome! [Balloons and confetti fall from the ceiling.] Wow, wasn’t that nice? Thanks, we worked really hard on that one.

Anyway. This is the Open Thread, wherein we ask you, the reader, to talk in the comments about a certain topic.

What is that topic today, you might ask, because you’re so very perceptive and smart and active?

Well, we’ve given this some thought, and, because we’re new here, and eager to please, we want to hear about something very important to us: The Pickup itself.

Namely, stuff like: what do you think?

Are you enjoying it?

Do you fucking hate it?

How good or bad are our opinions?

Are your opinions much, much stronger and more well-formed (Consider writing for The Pickup, in that case) than ours?

Importantly, have you figured out how to leave comments? (Go to My Account -> Commenting and pick a username, then you’ll be able to comment!)

And here’s another thing: If you don’t like the topic provided, feel free to ignore the topic and talk about anything you want. It’s a free country, for a while longer!

Anyway. Here’s a picture of my pickup.

2006, for the Tacomaheads in the audience. 156,000 miles.
