Open Thread: Get A Load Of This Guy

Area man clogs public airwaves shilling for new journalism business

Yes, the rumors are true: I went on public access TV in Claremore to answer a series of burning questions about The Pickup, This Land Press and what we're trying to do here.

And so, this Open Thread Friday, we invite you, our subscribers, to rate my performance on Perspectives with Sam Jones on a scale of 1-10.

Can you tell that I did not understand Oklahoma journalism hall of fame inductee Sam Jones's reference to Spencer Tracy?

Did I blow it? Did I crush it? Did I do some secret third thing? Sound off in the comments!

Thanks to Brian Voris at RSU-TV for setting this interview up. Oh, and I should note that the subscriber numbers I mention in this interview are already out of date! We’re now 373 paying subscribers strong.

If you liked this story, please share it! Your referrals help The Pickup reach new readers, and they'll be able to read a few articles for free before they encounter our paywall.
