Big Tech Does NOT Want You To Get Our New, Free Newsletter

Algorithms and AI slop are no match for us.

Hey folks. As the algorithms keep algorithm-ing and AI floods our social media feeds with slop, it’s easy to get lost in the drift of what our big tech overlords want us all to see. In our ongoing effort to resist becoming slaves to the brainrot machine, we’re launching a new way to connect with you directly.

It’s a short, simple newsletter called The Top-Up, and we’ll send it to you every day that we publish a new story (Monday through Friday, except in rare circumstances). You can opt in at your newsletter settings in your user account.

Consider The Top-Up a regular little refill on what matters to you as a Pickup reader: Tulsa stories told with wit and grit and perspective you can’t find anywhere else.

It’s one more way for us all to get out of the matrix (or perhaps the dead mall, if that’s your preferred metaphor) and into real life. Pull up and fill up with us.

If you liked this story, please share it! Your referrals help The Pickup reach new readers, and they'll be able to read a few articles for free before they encounter our paywall.
