If you’ve lived in Oklahoma long enough, you’ve probably had the experience of driving through a small town when, all of a sudden, an otherworldly home design forced you to hit the brakes, pull over and take a closer look.

Chances are good that one of these homes, which stretch across the state from Boise City to Bartlesville, was designed by Bruce Goff, the prolific architect who was appointed Chairman of the School of Architecture at OU in 1948.

His modernist masterpieces were built across Oklahoma from the 1910s through the 1960s. Primarily you can find them in Tulsa—many of his earliest designs were built here very early in his career—but Goff’s commissions found their way to rural communities up and down the midwest as well.

Just an hour up the road in Vinita, there’s a Goff on the market right now. Let’s peruse the Zillow listing, shall we? It is Goff Week, after all.

The circular design opens this bad boy up to a nearly 4,000 square foot floor plan focused on a central conversation pit with a skylit chimney.

And that rock wall exterior is signature Goff, who was known for working with materials that suited the surrounding landscape. The now-demolished Bavinger house in Norman was a prime example of this style.

Wow, imagine all the reading you could get done in this room simply because you'd never need to leave it for any reason.

Whoever decorated the interior here was a midcentury mod fanboy for sure. Between these jaw-dropping photos and and a quick look at the pricing chart on the Zillow listing—the asking price jumped over $250k in 2025—it seems like somebody sunk some serious money into this.

Those custom doors with the triangular inset windows ... talk about one of a kind.

And it looks like it's even got a little mother-in-law suite in the back.

Alright, what are y'all thinking? Maybe we can all go in on this Goff together? A new office for The Pickup World Headquarters, perhaps? If you're stupid-rich and read our humble website, give me a call. We'd love to talk to you about opening a Vinita office.
