Do What It Says

It's time once again for our annual reader survey

Look, I'm gonna get right to the point: take our reader survey.

You and I both know that the postmodern experience of American life is one where your wild and precious interior life is constantly under infringement upon by the tedious micro-forces of advertising, marketing and data extraction. How was your experience today? How many happyface emojis would you rate it?

We both fully and clearly understand that our thoughts—from the most mundane to the wildest shit buried deep within our id—are being solicited and extracted on a second-by-second basis to serve the most ravenous corporations that market capitalism has ever produced.

And yet! You should fill out our survey. Why? Because The Pickup is good. We actually want to hear what you think about us, so that we can do more of the stuff that's good for you, and less of the stuff that's bad. It's very simple.

Plus, you don't want to be a coward, do you? The survey is here. We want to know what you think.

If you liked this story, please share it! Your referrals help The Pickup reach new readers, and they'll be able to read a few articles for free before they encounter our paywall.
