John Paul Brammer is an award-winning author and illustrator from rural Oklahoma, now based in Brooklyn. His first book, a memoir-in-essays titled ¡Hola Papi!, was published by Simon & Schuster in 2021, and his second book, a young adult novel titled Samara, is to be published by Farrar, Straus and Giroux in 2026.
