Pick Of The Week

Mdou Moctar
September 19, 8pm
Guthrie Green

The Nigerien guitar legend lands in Tulsa this Friday, touring in support of his new album Funeral for Justice. Last time we caught a glimpse of Moctar around here was on the big screen in 2021, when Tulsa Noise and Foxy Digitalis brought his Tuareg-language film Akounak, an homage to Purple Rain, to the Admiral Twin in the depths of the pandemic. Tulsa's Seth Lee Jones opens this free show with some legend-level shredding of his own.
