Tulsa Picks: The Week’s Best Tulsa Events, May 7-13

Mayfest, Samantha Crain, Lady Gaga night, Mother's Day and more

Welcome to Tulsa Picks, your weekly compilation of Tulsa's best food, arts and music events, as picked by us, the staff of The Pickup. Let's get to it!

Pick Of The Week

Samantha Crain
Friday, May 9 at 8pm
Saint Cecilia's Listening Room, 205 W. King St.

Yes, Mayfest is this weekend. (Find a link to the full fest schedule below!) But for those in the know, this is the highlight of the week: Samantha Crain, who just released her album Gumshoe, playing a full set in a fairy-lit church basement. Saint Cecilia's Listening Room, a beautiful experiment in intimate folk-music listening, is ending its run as a concert venue after this weekend, and it'll be missed. Crain, meanwhile, is going strong: her resonant voice and curve-ball lyrics and melodies hit harder and sweeter than ever.
