Pick Of The Week

The Nutcracker Opening Day
Sunday, November 7
1pm & 6pm at Tulsa Performing Arts Center, 110 E. 2nd St. S.

Dancers as poinsettia flowers in wide-brimmed gauzy hats? Delightful. A golden coach drawn by hawks? Here for it. Tiny children as holly berries bouncing up and down? Amazing. A split-jumping Golden Driller? Nowhere else you can see that. Tulsa Ballet’s Nutcracker is everything your holiday self needs: it’s thrilling, zany, magical, a little bit traditional, a little bit 21st-century. Sparkling sets, costumes, and projections turn this family classic into a wonderland. Performances run through December 21. —Alicia Chesser
