Pick Of The Week

The Lowdown: The Influences
7pm Friday, August 22
Philbrook Museum of Art, 2727 S Rockford Rd

Gene Hackman’s dirtbag P.I. mustache bristles in Night Moves, a ‘70s noir that came out a year after Chinatown and was edited by the same woman, Dede Allen, who cut Dog Day Afternoon. Come settle into the comfy seats at Philbrook’s newly updated auditorium for a rare screening of a Hollywood classic and stick around afterward to yuk it up with Sterlin Harjo and Jeff Martin about Night Moves’ influence on Harjo's latest show, The Lowdown, coming to FX and Hulu next month. –Matt Carney
