Pick Of The Week

Architectural Counterpoint
Friday, March 13, 7pm and 11pm
Spotlight Theater, 1381 Riverside Dr.

Experimental composer Todd Woodlan and five local musicians take inspiration from the Bruce Goff-designed Spotlight Theater, its century-old history, its lost Olinka Hrdy murals, its community lore, and the quirky realities of its current-day life for this immersive musical experience. Listeners will move throughout the space (even into the basement) to hear the composition, which promises to be as thoughtful, whimsical, and generative as Goff's own work. Read our interview with Woodlan here! —Alicia Chesser
