Pick of the Week

Salad Days Pop-Up: Tina’s
Friday, August 28 at 5pm
Philbrook, 2727 S. Rockford Rd.

It’s refreshing, it’s smart, it’s everything you want in the dog days of summer. Curated by Cassidy Petrazzi and Krystle Schilling, “Salad Days” is a pop-up exhibit that draws on a phrase that has come to signify youthful vitality and experimentation. The exhibit brings together painting, sculpture, and floral arrangement (the ceramic fries and Whoopee cushion have particularly piqued our interest). Friday night’s opening features food and cocktails available for purchase from Tina’s and a live performance by Labrys from 6:30-8pm. The exhibit continues through August 30 at Philbrook’s Tandy Pavilion.
