Quinn Carver Johnson is a poet and teaching artist currently living in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They were born and raised in Arkansas City, Kansas and graduated from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas. Carver Johnson is the author of The Perfect Bastard (Curbstone Books, 2023), winner of the 2024 Lambda Literary Award in LGBTQ+ Poetry. Poems from The Perfect Bastard have been featured by the Academy of American Poets and on The Slowdown podcast hosted by Major Jackon. Their work has also appeared in World Literature Today, Rappahannock Review, Right Hand Pointing, Slant, vox poetica, and elsewhere. Carver Johnson is the host of People's Poetry, a reading series dedicated to protest poetics.
